A former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ogoja Branch, he represented Bekwarra State Constituency in the Cross River House of Assembly in 1991-1993 during the transition program of President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
A Bar man extraordinaire, he is a consummate politician, a husband, father and family man par excellence, he is easily misunderstood as a principled and outspoken social critic who abhors exploitation and the oppression of humanity in any form whatsoever.
As a legal luminary of repute, he has handled several high-profile cases. As an activist, he has registered his name in the sands of time in quest to ensure fairness, equity and justice for Cross Riverians. Respectable, magisterial, prolific and unarguably one of the best minds in the legal profession to have come from Cross River State.
